Books: Sick Puppy - Carl Hiaasen

A trust-funded, self-styled ecoterrorist stalks and harasses a boorish, womanizing lobbyist who is helping a graft-ridden developer quietly bulldoze the home of an endangered species of toads, winning over the man's dog and wife in the process, to humorous effect.

It is indeed a sick and fun book. But don't listen to the audio. Ed Asner reads and he wrecks the story. If you like Carl, you may also like Christopher Moore. The Stupidest Angel is particularly mental.

Thanks a lot for the recommendations, and I have yet to listen to a book on tape. (Oops--my sons and I once listened to part of Narnia on CD while traveling.)
