Minor League Dugout: Stop me if you've heard this one before...: "Corpus Christi traded beer for wine, choosing to put the local bishop on their bobblehead (photo, bottom right). The Hooks say Bishop Carmody is so popular in South Texas that he could be a rock star."

I have actually heard of Father Carmody. Our former minor league team(Jackson Senators) was in the same division as Corpus Christi. Since we are a relatively small city full of Baptists and Methodists this made our local news several times. I even remember the comment a reporter made after we lost to them-it was something like " The Senators tried but they were playing against a higher authority". B :-)
