and tried all the women’s voices (plus one man’s--the face didn’t change though). Kate is bossy, Susan sounds sloppy, Crystal seems nice, Elizabeth sounds pleasingly proper. ;-)

I may be type casting but I think each one of these women is from a different part of the country. Kate is from the northeast,Susan is resides on the laid back west coast and Crystal is from the midwest. Elizabeth would have to be a southern girl-proper in public but affectionate in private. :-) b
I think you are probably right based on the phonetic evidence -- which didn't occur to me at first because I drew distinctions based on economics (from trailer to toilette). BTW Elizabeth speaks UK English. ;-)
