Email: Don't sign up, speak up [EH]

WHEN WOMEN ARE PASSIVE they only get attention when they invite it. WHEN WOMEN DO NOT SPEAK UP then their only invitation is their looks. You don't know the half of what goes on at match.com. Flee!

ALL of the sites, to include EHarmony, have become meat markets. For an ordinary or moral woman to sign up and expose themselves to the mental abuse and self questioning tactics expressed or implied by the male's in these sites is just an exercise in self abuse. Better to go to a local bar and experience the blinded-alcohol-induced-self-centered-ego-centric behavior of the local drink then to mentally experience it from someone you don't ever see or maybe never even meet. Then, if you are imposed to actually meet someone, and think you have covered all the holes, they will remind you that you were a member of that inital "meat market" and send you on your way.
Yes, I agree... Flee! Save your mental, physical and psychological being and flee from any site available. Run to your local parish get-to-gathers, religious single groups, or what ever may be available to you! Run and run quickly! Save yourself!

I did flee and forced myself to remove my profile from every site as well as request that they no longer send me e/mails inviting me to come back. Online dating almost destroyed my emotional well being but after a not so good medical report a few days ago I decided to get the stress of it out of my life. The other thing that happens is that they introduce you to men who are hundreds, even thousands,of miles away and are only online to check out "babes". Most of these men don't have the time or the resources to meet you in person and even if they do there is no way you can get the whole picture without being in the same town or at the most 2-3 hours away. The Internet can be a wonderful way to meet people but its no substitute for face to face interaction. There are so many nuances you can't see in cyperspace. I look forward to much happier days without the stress of online dating sites. I have better things to do with my time and people right here in my own backyard who love me and who I need to enjoy even if they are family and friends instead of men I could potentially date.
