Twerpette (named for my dachshund Molley, the original twerpette or "goofy girl") seeks to tweak the long nose of life with humor, affection, and gravitas. Time was so tight this year that I only got a look at the Oscar nominees list today at midnight, looked through trailers for the major category nominees for an hour or two, got 4 hours of sleep, started on my day (6 am to 6 pm), ate a bite, made my Oscar picks from 615-625 pm, then spent 20 minutes trying to get photos of my ballot off my iPad into this weblog post. (Google wants you to download an extra photo app to accept photos from Apple's photo app. Psh!) I resnapped them on my iPhone; Blogger took those, but I had no time to write text for the post since the supporting actor nominees were one minute from being named.
This year I have only seen 5 films among the field of Oscar nominees (Deepwater Horizon, La La Land, Loving, Manchester by the Sea, and Rogue One). Still, I grasp at straws and guess -- and put it out there. Let's see how it goes this year. I got supporting actor right at least!
